Hi Folks

I wonder if any of your other dogs have this thing called Arthur Itis - 'parently that is what is wrong with my leg. My back leg (left) is very stiff sometimes and I am OK on my feet; but when I have been having a snooze it is a bit difficult to get up.

Nooow I find I have it in my left elbow as well which is not helping. I have several short walks a day and if I want to go further we have a compromise - and go somewhere I can flop down when I find the going tough.

My lovely vets (two ladies - one called Katrina who is away at the moment and Claudia) are very kind and give me some syrupy stuff called Metacam which Sue and the Boss put in my food at teatime to take and this relieves the pain.

I am also on a DIET ! ugghh ! When I arrived with this lovely family I was very thin and underweight and they built me up and made me feel lovely and my coat grew long and curly and I am very happy. Unfortunately I am now apparently a 'bit overweight' (honestly!) and so I am dieting. It is going very well and everyone is very pleased and Claudia says it will ease the pressure on my joints and help my friend Arthur Itis or something (she knows all this stuff!!!) Sue is on a diet too as she needs it as well so that's a help!

Anyway we now measure my tea very carefully and count out the few treats I am allowed over the day and no more and I am trimming up beautifully.

I am feeling stiff today as it is rather cold, but I feel very well otherwise (don't let on, or they w8ill think I am enjoying dieting or something!)

Anyway, off for an afternoon nap right now ...

See you all again later

HERE I AM AGAIN!

I expect you have been wondering where I have been to! Well believe it or not my PA/Secretary spent the whole of last week helping out her old firm at their office - instead of reporting on my goings on! Talk about letting a chap down!.

Whilst she was out me and the Boss had a lovely quiet week, pottering about on our own and not having to listen to that woman organising (trying to) and so on! Still we did miss her and glad she is around again now!

I was also a bit under the weather last week (had a tummy bug) so that didn't help - still all is well now and this is up and running again.

We spent some time in the garden this week, tidying and pruning - and to my horror she took all my toys inside today because a friend is coming tomorrow ti dig up a shrub and she thought "they might be in the way"!

I took some of them staight out again and am keeping an eye on them as you might guess.

At present it is teatime so I have told 'her' not to take too long posting this page - as I am getting hungry with all this activity.

Back later ...

SEPTEMBER BEGINS

A pinch and a punch for the first of the month ....white rabbits...white rabbits...white rabbits ... Does anyone know why we are supposed to say that at the beginning of the month??? My dotty family all say it and I just look wise and try not to smirk at them!

Following some lovely sunny days it has turned a bit dull and cloudy today but I enjoyed my morning walk with Sue; it was not too hot with my big fur coat on and we met some other doggy friends on the way.

Sue has been busy catching up work on her Jerry Green website and the Ivy Villa one because she is not at home during hte day next week. The Boss and I will have some peace! As I told you she has been asked by her old firm to give them a hand and so we shall have to keep each other company until she comes in at teatime with all the gossip!

My friend Signe likes my blog, apparently, and has sent me a nice email about it. Thanks Signe.
